I finally have some (hopefully) constructive advice!

1. I also don’t have my FI’s last name (yet). I just put our first names. S**** & S*****  (I did use the little & symbol to save space).

2. We got ours from http://www.royalsteamline.com , they have a few to select from, all of which I think are adorable. There are a ton on Etsy, unfortundately, I have no recommendations there.

3. I got a real rubber stamp. Which means I use an ink pad. I like it because each stamp I make is a little different, which just seemed like a nice touch. Although you may want each stamp you make to be exact, and then it wouldn’t matter if you got a self inking stamp. The only thing to consider is that a self inking one will run out of ink eventually, whereas a rubber stamp will last you for (almost) ever!

Hey! We did a custom stamp and we just used both of our first names and our address. It looked really good. I wouldnt just put the address though.

We used AngeliqueInk and I loved all her stamps cause they had a really nice vintage feel to them. Pick a stamp that fits the theme of your wedding! This is the one we went with…

We used an ink pad and it didnt get messy and it wasnt hard so I don’t think self inking is necessary but it might save you a little time 🙂 Good luck!

For our return address, we just printed our address without names.  The RSVP reply envelope was addressed to “My Full Name & His Full Name”.

I think on our save-the-dates I may have used “MyLastName ~ HisLastName” on the return address, but I’m not sure.

we just used our first name, and got a regular stamp- i like being able to switch out the ink pad, and dont find it messy or hard.

We got ours from RubberStampPress on etsy and it turned out great. We just used our first names. I didn’t get a self-inking stamp because I wanted to be able to use the stamp with a variety of ink colors.

We did the custom address stamp thing. We just did {His Name} & {My Name} – no last names at all. I thought about getting the self-inked one, but we ended up just going with a regular rubber stamp, so we could use different inks, which was a GREAT idea – I used it on our RSVP envelopes (ivory envelope, purple ink), I used it on the outside of our actual invitations (purple envelope, silver ink) and I’ve used it as a return address on the shower thank you cards(white envelope, purple ink). We bought from etsy seller forYOO – http://www.etsy.com/shop/foryoo – she was reasonably priced and very pleasant and responsive to work with.

I had the same problem as you when I was looking for return address stamps (living together but different last names). You could always do only first or last names but I did not want to do that. I found this stamp online http://www.redstamp.com/products/5447-Jackson-Two-Name-Modern-Return-Address-Stamp?all=true&category=313-Personalized-Stamps and put “MyFirstName&HisFirstName” on the top line and then both our last names in the hyphenated part. I think it looks great and I use it for everything! Unfortunately we’ll need a new one when our last names are the same, but it has been a real time saver using it on all the save-the-dates and thank you cards.
