I mean, I think it’s pretty. Sometimes when we look at all the blingy stuff on here we forget ourselves and our own tastes. I think that ring looks elegant and refined.

I love it! It doesn’t look plain to me at all.

mikuru :  I think it looks great! I’m also doing a custom ring and currently waiting. I think you have that added bling with your side stones! I love a plain wedding band so I can really picture your set already! It will be perfect! I also want to add a plain band with my ring.

Pls post pics when you get it!

mikuru :  My only concern would be how you talk about the ring, you don’t sound excited about it, like it is just practicle. Taste is subjective, what really matter is that everytime you look it, you can feel the love you share with you fiance.

I’m doing a channel set band just princess/french cut stones. I had the same exact worries. When I got the first CAD I kind of freaked out lolol. but I think it was because it was so different from what I had seen on other CADs. I think it’s classic and elegant. People say channel set can be dated, and I agree, but when the metal on the outside is thinner I think it looks delicate and beautiful. It just depends on preference, if you love it, that’s what matters. It took me a few days of looking at the CAD from my design but I know when I see the ring after it’s made I’ll be in love. Here’s my CAD as reference! I also wanted mine to be sturdy because I’m clumsy and not very dainty with my things, so this ring is hefty, and will last. After polishing it should go down to 1.7 and 2.5mm which is perfect, you can see some channel set bands in the StarsGem Final Cad thread, and they are to die for!IMG-20190402-WA0000

mikuru :  I think this is beautiful. It is very like my RHR which I love and is so comfortable to wear.

Picture is just a quick snap at my desk but I hope it helps. I would eventually love to swap the cluster for a single but that is down the line!

Looks pretty! Are you sure the wedding band will sit flush though? Seems like the basket is too low set for a flush fit and it will have a small gap. I personally like small gaps but you said you want flush so I would make sure about that!

Simple, classic, beautiful.  Don’t question or second think it-because the more ornate you make it the more you’ll wish you stuck to your original design.

I think it’s really pretty. I sort of had the same reaction when I decided on my ring I went with a solitaire on a pave band and for a quick second I wondered if I’d regret the simplicity. But I love it so much and honestly while I love a good halo ring or blingyyy ring, simple and sweet is just as beautiful ๐Ÿ™‚ when you have it on your finger all the doubts will go away!

mikuru :  I love it, it’s VERY similar to my ring and I have had nothing but compliments!
