Yes yes yes! I was involved in every aspect of designing my ring, I saw it when it got here, and then he hid it away until the proposal. He proposed at the most random time, when our anniversary was coming up the next week, so I figured it was going to happen the following week. I honestly think it was even more perfect, I got the cute proposal, completely took my off guard, and I knew I didn’t have to worry about not liking my ring, since I had a large part in it. 🙂

I wouldn’t have wanted it any other way.

@missamysmiles:  I’ve very picky when it comes to what I wear daily, haha. So I had to be involved in the whole process.

I was involved in the process of designing my ring, and my proposal was still as special. I was balling like a baby. It’s just a magical process instead of just a magical moment 😉

@missamysmiles:  I went the custom ring path, but I was not involved in actually going to the jewellers and telling him what I wanted.  I gave Fiance the pictures of the ring I wanted it modelled after and sent him on his way.  He told me about specs and such through out the process, but I didn’t actually see the ring until it was done and on my hand.  It was the best of both worlds and kept me excited.

My ring for reference:

@missamysmiles:  We opted for the custom ring option and it was absolutely still a surprise. I did see the wax version although I didn’t notice that the center diamond was increased in a size, a little suprise from my Darling Husband.

Even though you know what the ring looks like you don’t know how and when he will propose. I didn’t know when the ring was done nor did I see the finished product until the day he proposed, which was two months after the ring was ready.

It is just as special if you design your own ring…the anticipation just kills you!
