I got the smallest amount of custom stamps solely for pictures and most of my guests got regular stamps on theirs. The custom stamps do look nice but I couldn’t tell you the last time I noticed what the stamp looked like on my incoming mail. That may be a good option for you too! We got our suite done through minted.

gatsbybride2016 :  Girl, by the time I spend the upcharge on the USPS stamps on Amazon, I might as well go custom! Ya know?!? wink (Which I don’t mind doing since I like the look better than what USPS currently has in relation to my color scheme.)

And for what it’s worth, I don’t think the barcode on the Zazzle stamps takes away from the look…but to each his or her own!

We used them for our engagement party invitations, we will also be using them for our his and hers bridal shower, rehearsal dinner and wedding. We are from Canada and we just went on the Canada Post website, very easy to do and not expensive at all.

I looked on the USPS website for all of the options, and intentionally didn’t use wedding stamps. You could definitely find something there, on on Ebay with the older forever stamps, that coordinates. And to be honest, I like these options better than having that Zazzle bar code. We used the USPS ferns stamps, which coordinates with our darker green/gray invitation color scheme:

teambryan :  some people get really into the envelopes. I don’t mind the barcode since it keeps them from being run through machines and I get to have our wedding monogram on the envelope, setting the scene for the feel of the event. But I’m sure a lot of people are dead set on the Forever wedding cake stamps or the roses.

maryb116 :  if that’s something that you want, you should do it if the price is right. Zazzle frequently has sales – I got mine for 15% off. If it helps, just use the custom stamps for the envelope and use USPS stamps for the rsvp envelopes.

They’re no longer available but we used these stamps for our invitations and RSVP cards.  Purchased from the Canada Post site…

We used the Quilted Paper Heart stamps for our STD’s, and will probably use the same for our invites since we like them way more than anything else the post office is offering now.

Mini rant: WHY, when your institution is already basically bankrupt, would you not cater to the one segment of the population that still consistently uses snail mail and specialty postage?!? Doesn’t make sense…

maryb116 :  I love the look of personalized stamps and hope to use them too.

The invitation suites I’ve been eyeing on minted has them.

We used these on our RSVP envelopes- http://www.zazzle.com/vintage_wedding_newlyweds_groom_carrying_bride_stamp-172997803323159060

Since they are a little more expensive, I compromised (…with myself, in my own head, because my fiance did not care about the stamps to be perfectly honest) and got regular stamps for the outside- a combo of some of the USPS “botancial garden” series, as well as Shirley Temple stamps (I love her!) and the extra postage penguins, which I chose over the regular wedding extra ounce stamps because we are Pittsburgh Penguins fans and I am a crazy person.

For what it’s worth, if I did it again I would do it exactly the same way- nobody made any mention of the outside stamps, but people LOVED the RSVP stamps and I got tons of compliments on them, and they looked adorable peaking out of the tied little bundle of my invitation suite. Plus, by putting them on the RSVP envelopes, I got to see them again- and again, and again! 🙂

We just picked some heart and flower ones off the usps website.  I really don’t think anyone noticed the stamp except maybe my mother….  I do think all the options you ladies are showing are cute, but personally, I think it would have been a waste of money.  Might be a cute thing though if you can find a good sale!
