@BikerGroom:  aww nuts 🙁 I’ve been perusing websites looking for FH’s ring, but I’ve always been wary of anything online. The prices are nice, but I’ve found you get exactly what you pay for. I found a gorgeous tungsten ring at Kay for FH that has grooves in it (from the side it looks like a gear and that is awesome because he’s a biker too!) and a black diamond (my ring  is a black diamond) so it fits both of us together. Good luck with getting everything sorted out!

If you are still interested in a tungsten carbide ring I have had good luck with this site:

http://www.larsonjewelers.com/

The ring I ordered for Fiance wasn’t custom but he has been wearing it for the past 2 years with no issues. They will let you change your size free of charge but we haven’t had the need to. If you have to get it resized they will charge you to engrave your new ring but when I bought the ring it only cost $35 for the engaving.

I ordered my FI’s tungsten carbide wedding ring off of Amazon.  I believe it was $10.  I definitely wouldn’t pay those department store prices.  We actually ordered around 8 of them in total so he could try different styles (we have Amazon Prime so the shipping/return shipping was free).  I definitely recommend checking out Amazon.  They have a TON of different styles.

@BikerGroom:  I almost ordered from there, but found that tungsten rings on ebay were SO much cheaper- like only $10! I’m sorry you had such a bad experence.

I am looking for rings for the Fiance.  Thank you so much for the info.  I will stay away from this site!  Sorry about the bad experience but thanks for sharing!

I’m sorry you had such an awful experience! I don’t know how some people sleep at night knowing they rip honest, good people out of money.

@s2bmrscook:  I just bought FI’s ring off of Ebay for $60. It’s Tungsten, and he LOVES it! Shipping took like two days. I bought it from this seller. Great quality! 🙂

I’ve been looking at amazon.com and I see a TON of rings that are exactly what FH wants. My only issue is how much they cost. I would feel terrible knowing I paid less than $100 when my e-ring cost him $2500 and my enhancer is another $1100 :/ I know it’s not about the money, but I can’t help but feel a little bit guilty.

@s2bmrscook:  I had the same feeling at first but then I remembered that Fiance is the biggest bargain hunter I know and would NEVER let me buy it at a chain store with a huge mark-up.

@NoOneYouExpect:  +1

I also had a great experience with Larsons. The ring was slghtly to big but that was an error on the person who measured my Fiance fingers not them. With my ring it is automatically covered for life for resizing and accidental damage but you have to pay $40 but thats because of the make of the ring (triton) and and not Larson. Their other non Larson rings are covered by some type of insurance too so i highly recommend them

ETA: Pretty sure Tungsten is not supposed to scratch

@s2bmrscook:  My husband is absolutely a cheapskate at times and insisted if he was going to wear a ring, he didn’t want it to be costly.  I bought his tungsten ring off Amazon, for $30, and he loves it.  It’s a great looking ring, too!

@s2bmrscook:  I had the same feeling. I know my Fiance doesnt care bout material things but it irritates me that he NEVER buys himself anything special and always goes without to make others happy.

I insisted on buying him a named Tungsten ring because of it (cost $309 on sale, a compromise) and he understood my need to make him feel special and was grateful for the consideration it but I really dont think he wouldve cared if it was $50.

I just texted him and said, “there are a lot of rings on amazon that I think you would like” and he texted me back saying he found one. So I guess it doesn’t bother him!
