If you don’t love it you shouldn’t have to wear it. You paid for it & if you paid for something you are not happy about voice your opinion! The sooner the better.

I definitely think you should say something, and as the above poster said, as soon as possible. Your wedding ring is so much more than just an object, it’s a symbol too.

I love the mall ring too, where is it from if you don’t mind?

I never would have taken the ring from the store when they gave it to me and it was incorrect. They may be annoyed, but you paid for one thing and they gave you another. If I were you, I would go back there and tell them you wanted something different. The only issue is that now they may be able to say, “You didn’t voice these concerns when you picked up the ring and paid for it. Since it is a custom ring you are not entitled to any kind of refund exchange”. Do you have any paperwork stating their return/exchange policy on custom jewelry?

@LoveMikey: oh that’s really good actually. Im glad you didn’t take it with you. I would definitely go back and tell them its not what you wanted, show them the picture (did you give them the picture?), and ask the in house jeweler to re-do it. I don’t see any reason why he wouldnt, especially if you havent paid him yet!

Am I missing somethig. The band you posted cost the same as the extra fee you paid. Why didn’t you order it online and keep the curved bands as well?

@blingbling: I was thinking the same thing.  But I think it was because OP had already purchased the two bands from the original jeweler.

@LoveMikey: You are the customer.  You should be getting what you want.  Go back and tell them the problem.  So what if you are annoying them!  They have already annoyed you!  If, the jeweler is unwilling to “edit” his creation then you may have to sell it and use the funds to buy the one you want from somewhere else.

LoveMikey, have you thought about putting a miligrain on the edge? My ring is very similar although it has only 1 row of pave diamonds (.50 tcw on my size 7.25 finger) and I love the miligrain edging. My jeweler said he didnt like making pave diamond bands that dont have an edging as they are more likely to lose diamonds and scratch the ering. I do like the look of the first ring though…

I would try it as is, I think it’s great!  Having that metal on the sides instead of exposed diamonds makes them much more secure.
