Hi!

I had my dress altered with Mina’s Design and Tailoring in LA and had a wonderful experience over two years ago.  She also makes custom design wedding dresses.  Had I known about her ability to custom make wedding dresses I would had have her design my wedding dress. I was new to the OC area and had already purchase my dress in Northern Cali and had relocated to OC to plan my wedding. I heard many horror stories on wedding dress alternations and did not want to risk having my wedding dress ruin so i went to her for a consultation.  My dress turned out wonderful.  When I was at her studio, I saw 3 custom made dresses on the maniquins which were beautiful.  She told me that she would be able to custom make a dres for me with a minimum price of 1k, dependent on what I wanted and the type of fabric.  I’m sure the more exquisite the design and fabric, the more expensive the dresses are.

Here’s her direct website if you’re interested.

Good luck!

Branda’s Golden Stitch in Petaluma (about 40 miles north of SF) is amazing! She does custom gowns as well as alterations; if I’d thought about it early enough I would have had her make mine.

She has done many dresses for me over the years, as well as my wedding gown– this is what she did for me:
