Are you talking real, functioning shutters, or the kind that just get tacked up next to your windows as a decorative element?

Apprx. $250 to $400 per window. I work in shutters at Lowes.

@oracle:  glad you’re getting real ones! I lived in a town in germany where all of the old buildings had real shutters with cool little hooks shaped like people’s faces. I always wondered why American’s didn’t do that. 🙂

i want some so bad but i think they are pretty expensive. I have really long windows and i got quotes for 400 a window eeep.

I had plantation shutters installed on two windows and, due to the price, I only put them on the bottom half of the window (i.e. Cafe Style) – cost around $350 per window. Not cheap!
