Trust me…in the end the stamp doesn’t matter.  I wanted to do customized stamps too but then with the sticker shock, I would rather save the money and we used the Animal Shelter stamps (proceeds benefit).

Zazzle pretty frequently has online promo codes or sells coupons throug sites like Groupon. Try Googling or joining email lists.

Can’t you ask for the wedding ring stamps at your post office?? I know it’s just a STD and not your actual invite but they don’t cost any extra….honestly in the end people aren’t really going to be too concerned with the stamp!

I got mine from zazzle.com  I had one of our engagement pics put on them and since I had a coupon I actually paid less for them than regular stamps!!! I love a good bargain!!

I totally got custom stamps for my RSVP and they were so expensive but it was worth it to me I did not wait the bear stamp 🙂

When we are sending out our RSVP postcards, there will be an increase in the postcard amount. In order to avoid having to put 2 stamps on each one, I found some stamps on ebay that have not been used, but their postage amount is 33 cents. We are using those! My FH was super excited because they are the “Legends of Baseball” stamps and he loves baseball. I personally loved the polar bear stamps and would have used them without a problem because our wedding is in the winter time. I did have a problem with putting the polar bear and another stamp in order to meet the new amount increase that will happen in January.

Nobody notices the stamp. We had our wedding at a modern art museum, and I went out of my way to use the new Abstract Expressionism stamps, and only one person commented. Just save your money, seriously!

Our friend did a costumized stamp for their invites. I never even saw them, I just threw out the envelope! If paper is super important to you, then I understand, but if not, I wouldn’t worry about it.

I definitely would not worry about a customized stamp. The thought occurred to me, but then zoomed right out of my head once I thought about it logistically. The envelope is just going to be thrown away. Some people (like myself) MIGHT keep the invitation, but definitely not the envelope.

As a guest at several weddings these past years…the last thing I notice are stamps. Believe me, do not waste the money.

I spent a little bit of time agonizing over the perfect stamp, and then I realized that no one even noticed the stamps.  Particularly given the fact we miscalculated our postage, and had to use 3 different stamps that were all hideous, and everyone I cracked jokes with had said they didn’t even notice it had 3 stamps!  Go for the bear…it’s cute!
