- Wedding: October 2014
Hi! I figured out that since I dislike “wedding” dresses that I would opt for a formal gown that I could have created in ivory or champagne. I have to shop around my bust (it’s four dress sizes larger) and while I found “the dress” there is an issue with the neckline (it’s really low)….
I intend to keep the black (as it’s “my color” but change the teal to ivory or champagne).
The neckline however, as you can see, is an issue for someone with a larger bust. I talked to the designer and to have the neckline “altered” would cost something ridiculous and then I relized I could probably do it myself. I found this black applique that I feel would be an easy alteration to add to the dress….
So, my question is…. it it “too much”? (i.e. is there too much stuff going on in the dress if I add the applique? I would stictch it to the inside so it’s more of a peek-a-boo effect to cover “the girls” a bit more.)
Thanks in advance.
