I have the sweetest, spunkiest Flower Girl who is going to be so much fun on our wedding… The only thing is we can’t toss flowers in the church we’re using.
Anybody have any cute ideas for what we could do with her that would be Catholic mass-appropriate?
(DO NOT tell me to get one of those “last chance to run” signs… I’m not a fan! lol)

She could carry a basket of flowers and give them to the women on either side of the aisle.
She could carry a pomander , or a ribbon wand.

Ours is a bit to young to get the tossing thing, so we are just giving her a teddy bear to carry. Really, 90% of what a Flower Girl is there for is to look cute and adorable.

My venue didn’t allow flower petals being thrown either. I ended up having my flowergirl walk with a groomsman and they both handed flowers to either side of the aisle (they were paper flowers with a pointy end so the guys wouldn’t feel too girly about it). My poor groomsman got called a flowergirl for the rest of the day, but he was man enough to roll with it.

lizzypoo96: we are doing something a little different (also can’t throw anything). The Flower Girl and Ring Bearer will each have about 5 long stem roses and they are going to pass them out to people as they walk down the aisle. Haha as long as it’s not a kid who will get distracted and start going into the pews.

What about ringing a (very small, very quiet) bell?

I’ve always thought pomanders were cuter anyway.
Ugh, I can’t stand those signs either. So tasteless.
