I made these up for a friend’s wedding shower, but more than anything I wanted to see if I could do them. What do you guys think, cute for wedding favors or not? What I like is that I can make them up way ahead of time and freeze them. Not to mention not terribly expensive. Any other opinions?

Very cute, in my opinion.

Cute but black coloring tends to taste funny. Now, if you have some awesome non awkward tasting black coloring, please share the info.

I think they are super cute – perhaps I am just a big pervert but the bride cookie looks like she has some big boobs at first glance .

@SFreeman2187: I got a gel set of food coloring at a cooking store and it was fine! Now… I made black icing for cupcakes… and lets say.. when they came out the other it… it was still BLACK!!!
Could you put them in a cute little bag and maybe put a magnet of you and your Fiance on it? That way there is something they can also keep?

I think these are super cute!!! I agree with the PP’s about the black food coloring, though. I read on Betty Crocker that you can use chocolate icing, then add a little bit of black/blue food coloring to make black. It will taste great, and you don’t have to use as much food color!

i prefer the brides one because the lapels on the grooms dont look as smooth but they are cookies – i would love to receive those! very nice work

Good idea I think I’ll put them in bags with something else I’ll have to think!
Also for the black icing, I put a little imitation almond extract in my frosting, takes any color flavor problem away. I usually do 2t in a batch of icing. I hope that helps.
