I was just hanging out on Etsy for a bit and came across this http://www.etsy.com/listing/56958681/perky-penguin-a-peterene-original-design?ref=sr_list_8&ga_search_query=garter&ga_search_type=handmade&ga_page=&order=&includes%5B0%5D=tags&includes%5B1%5D=title&filter%5B0%5D=handmade (how does one make it so when you click the word “this” it would just take you to the site)
You should know I L-O-V-E penguins. Like…obsessively. Fiance bought me a “penguin” stocking for Christmas. Everytime I see a penguin anything in a store I’m all “ooooh….loooook!”
But I wasn’t sure how to take this one! I showed Fiance expecting him to laugh at it (some GOOD ideas I show him he’s completely against) and now he’s got it bookmarked and says he’s going to buy it! So bees…would you wear a garter with a penguin (or any animal for that matter) on it?
(NO disrespect meant for the maker of this! I think it’s beautiful and very well done, it’s just an interesting idea I had never considered!)

I think it’s cute. I probably wouldn’t wear it, but if you and your Fiance both like it then why not! 🙂
To make the word “this” a link type “this” go back and highlight it and click the “link” button, then copy in your link and click “insert”. Viola! 🙂

Haha sure why not! It’s so cute. I wouldn’t tell him tho, i’d save that for a surprise!

I wouldn’t personally wear a penguin garter, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t – I mean, it obviously has significance to you, and that’s what matters the most!
Secondly, to link through a word in your post, highlight the text you want to link, then click on the little button that looks like a chainlink (it’s gray, next to the indent buttons) and a box will pop up where you can enter the URL. To remove a link, use the broken chain button next to it. 🙂
A screenshot, just in case:

Thanks guys! I moused over a couple of the icons on the top to see the little “info blurb” of what they were, but didn’t make it to that one, yay!
I think the only way I will wear it is if he does buy it for me. I had planned on skipping the garter completely. It is cute, just very, very random!!

Cute! I wasn’t planning on doing the garter toss thing because our family is pretty conservative, but this one is so playful I might reconsider.

That’s adorable. I’m not really planning to wear a garter but if I found one as cute as that but with an owl on it, I’d wear it proudly! I’m trying to come up with ways to incorporate more owls into my wedding.

That is stinkin’ cute and lots of fun – garters are not supposed to be serious!!!
