Hey bees! Yesterday my SO and I stopped in Zales for Black Friday (I wanted white gold earrings) and of course the lady started shoving rings on us. I tried one on that was very pretty but SO was just kind of blank about it. We left the store and I was worried that he had changed his mind (we talk about getting engaged a lot) when he saw me actually wearing a ring.
later that night we had been drinking and I saw that a mutual friend of ours had gotten engaged and the ring came up. He said “it was okay, but your face didn’t light up when you put it on…and you took it off too fast. The lady kept staring at me waiting for me to buy it but no…you deserve better than that. It wasn’t your dream ring…and I think you deserve more than that on your finger for the rest of your life”
I then told him the ring isnt what matters, and he said
“I know. But when you put it on Facebook or Weddingbee (shout out ladies!) they’ll want to see the ring. And I want you to be like yes! Here it is. Lol.
so ladies. Cute things your SO/FI/DH has said regarding the rings! Also, I know the proposal is coming soon but he wants to pick the ring 100% on his own so I wouldn’t mind if you posted pictures of your rings!

I have three stand in engagement rings and I make my husband christen each one by getting down on one knee and saying will you marry me. He is so sweet about it. Totally obliging.

We were at thanksgiving dinner at my parents house and my dad made a comment to my hubby like ” man, I don’t even want to know how much money we have spent in jewelry for these women over the years” (my mom is a jewelery lover like me and had just got a new chocolate diamond ring she was showing me) and my hubby’s reply was ” yeah but the look of excitement on their face is priceless”. My husband is not the romantic type, so this comment gave me butterflies 🙂

FutureMrsHodgy: your ring is beautiful!!! I want an Asscher Or princess solitaire. He knows this. The ring I tried on was a halo. VERY pretty but he’s right…not my ring. BelliniChic: Thank you!! He’s absolutely perfect!!

What Fiance used to say is more giggle-worthy than sentimental. I had given him a few options of ring settings that I liked but grew to like and show him one more than the others. It was one with flanking baguettes, and when he saw it on the computer screen, he would say “baguettes” in a French accent, which made me crack up.
He actually picked that one with the baguettes way early on before I had grown to favor it. He knows me so well!

Yipeebee: I do this. Lol.

My Fiance and I got engaged last month, so we’re still riding high with engagement excitement. We leave for work together in the morning and he’s usually waiting at the door for me to get my things together. The very last thing I do before stepping out is slip on my e-ring, so I always put it on and wiggle my hand in his face with a huge smile on my face as I slide past him out the door. He always says something like, “Yes, it’s ____. Just like you.” He fills in the blank with some sweet compliment: perfect, gorgeous, beautiful.
It’s admittedly a very silly thing, but it’s always a cute, sweet start to the day!
