@Mrs. Gremmlin: I love the idea of involving your dog. We’re not TTC yet, but when we are I would love to get our dogs in on the telling. Our biggest, and also softest, dog always picks up a shoe or something when my fiance comes home from work (he get’s very excited and we think he thinks having something in his mouth will stop him from catching the person coming in with his teeth) so I think I would just hand him a t-shirt or a onesie to hold 🙂

@Soladylike:  omg this would be SO cute. I’m totally gonna do this in the future (like a few YEARS) when we’re married & trying. we both love football & the Packers so a little jersey & play on that would be so cute.

I read that a lady had morning sickness and her husband knew she wasnt feeling well. So she, using the test stick, handed it to her husband and asked “I can’t read this thermometer, can you?”

I thought that was cute.

We will start TTC in a few months and I’ve thought about this.  One idea I had was to fill the house with pink and blue balloons and tie the test to the ribbon.  I also thought this might be cool to do to his car then tell him I left something in there but that would take a little more coordination.

Another idea: he is a HUGE sports fan, so i thought i would tell him there’s a new player on one of his favorite teams and hand him the newspaper to “read for himself” with the test taped to it and a note or card.

@SimplyChic11:  I like these ideas because I would be able to videotape which to me is important.  He taped the proposal and we so cherish that moment.  I’ve heard of other cute ideas but I am not sure how i would be able to tape it without causing suspicion.

@SimplyChic11:  I definitely think it would be great to video but it will be tricky!!  I am thinking of trying the same idae – “I have a surprise for you, close your eyes” and see how that goes…. =)
