I have to admit, I am a Grade A Lurker on the shoe board. I find myself getting SO jealous of all the cute pumps and platforms. While I do have a year until my wedding, I have started looking for shoe inspiration. The problem? I have several criteria for shoes that are making my daydreaming into a nightmare!
1. Flat. Or a heel less than an inch. I have very, very bad knees and ankles (thank you, varsity soccer) and the idea of standing in them JUST for the reception makes me reach for the ice pack. They have to be flat.
2. WIDE. According to the (confusing) conversion charts I found online, I have a width letter of “E”. 9.5E, to be exact. Yes, I have huge feet. I’m fairly certain the Fiance and I have the same size feet. Oy.
3. If I had my dream show, they would have a vintage flair to complement my dress/our theme. Some pearl embellishment perhaps? *drool* I know I can always jazz them up with shoes clips or dye them. But… if they CAME perfect, I would obviously be happy. This is not a requirement, merely a “wish” criteria.
So, Bees, any advice (or even better – links or pictures?!?!?!) for a big-footed bride-to-be???

Try payless. They have wide shoes. I looked there for white flats, but I think this is the wrong time of year. Beggining of summer is best. Also maybe http://www.Amazon.com or http://www.shoebuy.com (this site has free shipping, I think!)

From dance I have wide feet as well. Have you tried Nordstroms? They carry really cute shoes, also J renee is where I get all my shoes and I get so many complements, she does qurirky flats. I don’t know the color you want but she is always putting new things up and matching purses 🙂
Also for cheap, try Torrid, it’s a plus girl store from Hot Topic but they do a great job of really cute young accessories. I have many a patent leather pointy flats from them in pretty much every color of the rainbow.
some links for you:
these are really cute for a fun bride, I love the heart detail on them. so fun for a wedding I think, especially a beach one.
These might be more heel then you can manage, about 1 inch:
Good luck, as a wide shoe girl, I’ve made it my mission to find really cute heels and flats, so feel free to ping me for more ideas 🙂
