For those you don’t know the whole story:
My Fiance and I are really considering cutting a huge chunk of our wedding guests so close to the big day. A little more background for everyone. My Fiance parents were giving up $10,000 for our $15,000 wedding. When they told us that they are giving us the money we planned everything out, we included the her friends my Fiance thought she was the closest too. Even my Future Father-In-Law said to my Future Mother-In-Law now all your friends can come. That changed about 30 days ago, when she added 6 more guests then another 2 last week. We are a very tight budget and even $15,000 is even pushing it since my Fiance and I have to come up with the $5,000+ for everything else.
Our guest list is now about 95 when we wanted less than 80 guest to feel a bit safer about the money. Now we are thinking NOT taking their money since what happen this past week. My Fiance still haven’t talked to his parents, not even his mother at the shower on Sunday.
If we do not take the money we thought just immediate family and aunts to our ceremony and a smaller reception. We are still in the looking progress for a smaller reception place that can accomadate our guests, maybe a hor duerves reception and with less than 100 days to the big day.
We will still invite his parents to wedding as guests but nothing more.
What do think about this???
