Okay Ladies I am in a pickle!
My SO and I have just begun the process of creating a custom ring (no down payment put yet, but have begun designing and talks etc). But as I was looking around for “ringspiration” I stumbled on the moissanite.com site and they’e having an insane cyber monday sale and found this:
Pros: It’s my size, it’s the cut I want, and it’s crazy cheap- for about .70 larger sized stone than we were thinking of! I love a good solitaire and really my custom design was going to be quite plain too. The fact that this ring is a solitaire doesn’t bother me at all and I think it’s gorgeous!

Cons: It’s not forever brilliant, and it looks like it sits up pretty high in the setting. I work in a lab and I am also not the most delicate of people. I really worry about banging it on things.
I honestly have no idea what to do, haha. I am definitely one who goes for the deal and it’s hard for me to walk away from this price but the cons are also pretty big. Ahh, I have no idea!
Do any of you ladies have a high setting and work in a lab or other field where gloves are necessary? Has it ever been an issue?
I don’t really want to be taking off my ring every day for work. There is no protocol saying I need to (it’s not medical) and many women at my workplace do wear their rings, but no one has a high setting so I don’t know if it would rip gloves or get damaged on equipment.
Has anyone noticed a big difference in forever brilliant vs classic?
Does anyone have any experience in changing a ring they already had to have the setting sit lower?
Any other info/opinions are so welcome!
