I am new to the board. My fiancee and I got engaged this September. He proposed while our vacation in Alaska & Canada <3
We also do have a wedding date – it will be August 17. I have already found the dress, didn’t say “yes” to it so far, but I am pretty sure that it will be THE dress. Unfortunately I was not allowed to take any pictures at my first visit in the store 🙁 (thins are different in Switzerland..) This is why I can only post it on the model, but once I have bought it, I will post some pics with me in the dress.
Before I defenitely say yes to it I will also have a look at the Bernadette dress – I am also in love with this one, but I have no idea how it will fit me.
Is here any other bride who has either chosen the Galice dress or the Bernadette dress?

Do you mean Maggie Sottero Bernadette? If you do, I know what it looks like and I much prefer the Cymbeline. I love fluffy skirts and I have read how light and comfortable Cymbeline dresses are.

Yes I mean the Maggie Sottero Bernadette. This is what the consultant at the store told me too, she said that the Maggie Sottero dreses are very “heavy”. And since I am getting married mid august the cymbeline dress might be way more comfortable. When I wore the cymbeline dress it felt very good and light! I may stick with it – it looks so amazing!

hi! how nice Iam getting married next october and you are getting married the day of my birhday! I ve also chosen this galice dress from cymbeline for my wedding. My opinion about this dress (which is our dress) is the following: I always wanted something very romantic and “princess” style, but then, when I started to check different dresses (pronovias style, la sposa, rosa clara..so iam from Barcelona and these are the top shops), I realised that these dresses where very heavy to wear, not comfortable at all, and a bit conservative / classical style. Since my wedding will not be in a church, but in a very romantic place (an small castle), I changed my mind and I wanted a vintage dress. So, I started to check about a vintage dress and at the end, I found this one from cymbeline. I think this dress is perfect because its not heavy, is not classical, its very romantic, has a vintage touch and the materials are very good. And, it is very very original. So, perfect choice!!
