shields061:  It’s beautiful. Full stop. Price tag doesn’t matter, your love for one another and intention does.

(Is nobody’s business IMO. More Bees will comment with advice.)

I love it btw!

I wouldn’t have known had you not said anything. Regardless of that who cares what others think?  Your ring is pretty and your man loves you. Nuff said!!

I love it! Nobody said an engagement ring HAS to be a diamond.. i know youre probably worried it wont last long because cz arent considered a forever stone. Bringing it up may hurt his feelings..you would know better if it would or wouldnt. I personally have a moissanite. Maybe you can get that? I chose a moissanite because of ethical reasons.. and the whole blood diamond thing… if it were me.. i would just be happy he thinks im the one for him and proposed..you could always get another one in the near future. Its the love not the ring..

If you are concerned talk to him. In marriage you need to openly communicate, be honest and respect each other’s feelings.

I think it’s lovely! My jeweler has all their rings set with Cz while they are on display and I couldn’t tell the difference.

People have lots of different stones and the stone in your ring isn’t what matters, it’s the love and commitment that you’re making to each other!  Your officiant isn’t going to pull out a loupe on your ring before signing your marriage documents.  If anyone says anything rude, fuck em.

PLEASE do NOT feel compelled to explain that gorgeous piece of jewelry to ANYONE. It is absolutely no business of anyone’s but you and Fiance. I have a wonderful ring set with a CZ solitaire and NO ONE has EVER said anything about it but how terrific my diamond looks.

Best wishes and Blessings!!!!

If your friends look down on you for having a CZ engagement ring then they aren’t worth knowing. Not everybody wants to spend small fortune on a ring, some people can’t afford to. Your ring doesn’t look any less spectacular for not being very expensive.

My colleague and friend got engaged with a CZ 0.5 carat equivalent solitaire last year. I only heard nice comments to her face and nothing behind her back.

Youre getting married! Congratulations!

First of all, congratulations! There is absolutely nothing wrong with a cz ring, and I doubt anyone is going to notice anything about it other than how pretty your ring is. My only concern would be how it lasts in the long run – some people have had good luck with their cz stones, but most of them become cloudy over time. Maybe you could find out how your Fiance feels about saving up to swap the stone out for a diamond or other more durable stone down the road.

Congrats on your engagement! I really like the design of your ring, and how it looks on your finger. Rock it proudly girl! I had a number of CZ rings over the years and never cared what people will think. I firmly believe a relationship is really not about the center stone!

The only concern I can see here is it not being a forever stone and will need to be replace in a not so distant future. Now that depends on you, on how sentimental you are and how much it would bother you to have to renew the stone. However, even this is limited because too much resetting a new stone can damage the setting. Personally it would bother me because I am pretty sentimental and would want to always keep my e-ring if possible.

I would be honest with him and tell him these kinds of concerns. It’s better now than a while down the line when he can’t do anything about it and youll just have to have it the way it is. Have you considered an Amora gem or moissanite? Both a lot cheaper than diamond and beautiful stones, plus they are permanent stones so you wouldn’t have to replace them.

Congratz, It is gorgeous!

I basically had sevral CZ rings thru out my 10 year marriage and no one besides the people I told knew it was a CZ, or atleast didnt comment or even ask. The ring I originally got for my engagement was an heirloom diamond solitaire from his grandmother and I lost it with in 2 years  🙁 We wanted to wait till we could get something more permanent down the road and we finally did. I went with forever one moissanite. With that said, I loved my rings. I did have to replace them a few times since they would get a bit cloudy over a few years. I still have them and plan on keeping them. Your ring is beautiful and its the meaning behind it that matters. I would atleast bring up the fact that CZ will not last forever, and mabe down the road you can upgrade to something that will last forever and not need to be replaced 🙂
