Never regretted it for a moment! I have a size 4 finger, and an 8.9mm E, IF, OEC amora gem in a halo setting, and a 9mm H&A G, VS in a 4 prong solitaire setting.

princessforever77:  Oh cool! Have you shortlisted or tried any that you like? Ovals are really fun and I think one of the most classic shapes. Share photos when you have any!

windowlulu:  You have such awesome taste.  Your dress is beautiful and so is your ring (as was the other ring you were looking at, but honestly, I like the one you went with more…I bet it has better sparkle too as emerald cuts have a different kind of flair to them.)  Just thought you should know!  πŸ™‚

CinqueTerre:  Aw thanks hun! Tbh I loved the emerald cuts because… Grace Kelly had the most amazing Cartier emerald ring which was a bazillion $$ lol.

I love that band you suggested! Do you think it will be too much for me though? I love that the rings looked like they’re a different metal from the e-ring too!

And wait… didn’t you already have a dress?!!! πŸ˜‰

windowlulu: I think you should at least try that style; I think it looks awesome with that shape and would be beautiful on you.  And yes, I do have a dress, but went shopping alone so didn’t get to have a grand ol’ time.  Plus, we figured out that lawandbeauty53: lives relatively close by so hey, why not offer?  πŸ™‚

People assume because you have a large rock it means your materialistic, which is funny, because my whole ring cost around $5000 and I have a 3.2 carat centre amora gem.

So the issue is, would you mind people assuming that you’re materialistic and superifcial even if it wasn’t true? (it really only cost you $5000 = not materialistic)

But then if you tell them it only cost $5000, they’ll assume you are attention seeking or want to appear wealthy..you can never win.

The reality is you wanted a big sparkly stone for yourself that was conflict free and environmentally sustainable. But people already have their minds made up, and they often don’t even ask you questions to be able to get the truth from you.

Does it matter what people think? Sometimes. Ultimately we don’t live in a vaccum, and assumptions can hurt you, especially in first impressions.

Just a few thoughts. πŸ™‚
