- Wedding: June 2014
I have kind of an etiquette question. So my father couldn’t get off of work to fly out for my wedding in June. He’s a captian on a fire department, so only a handful of people can take his place and everyone already had their vacations scheduled. Our relationship is a little awkward. My parents divorced when i was about 13 and for about 7 years we really didn’t talk at all. Since then we’ve been getting closer but things are still a bit awkward at times. So my question is.. Should I say something to him about not being able to come? I’m not upset about it or anything but am i supposed to say something or do something to kind of let him know he’ll be in my thoughts.. i don’t know.. His mother (my awesome grandma!) is coming and so is one of his sisters. If I don’t say anything will it seem like I don’t care? Thoughts?
