@DaneLady:  LOL, I’m only 29 weeks so I have no stories yet, but I can totally see my Darling Husband being like this.  Your LO is such a cutie!

Haha, super cute. We use cloth diapers, and my husband is HILARIOUS with them. I’m not sure if it’s learned helplessness so I have to deal with it (fair enough, I’m the one that switched to cloth), but the things he hands back to me are hilarious.

He still (after nearly 7 months) sometimes manages to mess up a diaper here and there, but like you, I can’t complain, because he’s an awesome Daddy!

@DaneLady:  i have a funny story about my cousin’s husband.

she’s a Stay-At-Home Mom and he doesn’t do a whole lot of the child-rearing. when he was still really young (a few months old), husband was changing his diaper and baby peed all over himself. normal stuff. but daddy didn’t know what to do, so he put the baby on the floor (LOL!) while he tried to clean off the changing table. the dog came over and started licking baby! hahaha he says he was like “wiiiife where are you when i neeeed youuuuu” hahaha

Ha ha ha ha. At my house we call these moves “tactical errors” ever since I was out at guitar class and Darling Husband was putting babyRun down for the night and he texted me that she was down finally, but he had made a tactical error. Basically he had gotten her to sleep but then realized he forgot to put her in the sleep sack. He can’t do an upside down zipper for anything and so by the time he got the thing on she wasn’t just awake — she was screaming. Good times.

That said, my all time fav comes from my dad. My mom was a Stay-At-Home Mom so rarely went anywhere without us but she was out of town for a weekend for a funeral and Dad was in charge. My baby sister had t-ball pictures that weekend so Dad had to get her ready and take her. When we got the photos back we saw that her hair (long hair) was sticking out in a hundred different directions under he baseball hat. Turns out my Dad had taken the “guy’s approach” to getting ready for pictures. She rolls out of bed and he puts a hat on top. It is still my favorite pic of my sister growing up.

This is hilarious!  The sad part is that I know that I will probably make as many silly mistakes as Darling Husband will.  Our poor kid… ๐Ÿ™‚

@DaneLady:  So cute!  My Darling Husband is the same.  He’s amazing about helping out, but his technical skills don’t always match his enthusiasm.  He had some of the same diaper issues to start with, but he was holding DS when he peed in his “creatively applied diaper” and got a little wet.  He’s much more careful about the way the diaper fits now.
