As you’ve probably seen me mention in other posts, I’m far from a beauty pageant kind of gal. My whole life I’ve felt inept when it came to beauty products, so I’ve just basically ignored them all together.
I really feel better when I do something with myself, though, so I’d like to know what you guys do, what you guys use, and what you would recommend.
So here it is: Do you have any daily routines? Teeth, Hair, Face, Makeup, Body? Anything?
Any products that you would recommend?
The simpler, the better.
Here’s mine: I always, always use the crest white mouthwash after brushing my teeth. I love it. It works really well. I’ve recently tried Aveda shampoo and it’s awesome. It lathers up so much and from what I’ve heard more bubbles = more clean.

I only recently figured out how face makeup (other than eyeshadow/mascara) works, so I’m getting into the habit of washing my face in the morning and putting on foundation and powder. I’m not sure I’m doing it right, but I feel like much more of a “grownup” when I’m wearing makeup.

I brush my teeth, shower, do my makeup, do my hair.
It’s such a routine that I just do it, sometimes on auto-pilot lol

I get up at 4:30 – so if I don’t follow the routine, something gets skipped.
Shower, contact lenses, brush teeth/floss/rinse, hair, makeup, find clothes, pack lunch, then out the door!

@abbie017: Wow! That is so early!
Do any of you use specific hair/makeup/facial routines?
Like facial scrub, cleanser, moisturizer? I know I need to do my makeup, hair, etc. I just don’t know how :/

I “wing it” with makeup and hair (depends my laziness level and on the occasion… running errands vs. going out with friends to a bar, for example)
My face/teeth routine in the morning: Clean & Clear Daily Pore Cleanser, brush teeth, Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Liquid Daily Sunblock SPF 70, makeup if any.
My face/teeth routine in the evening: Clean & Clear Deep Action Exfoliating Scrub, brush teeth, floss, Listerine, Clean & Clear Dual Action Moisturizer.
Once a month or so: Freeman Avocado & Oatmeal Facial Clay Mask.

@Regina Phalange: I will have to try some of those products! Thank you for sharing!

I brush my teeth and wash my hair, but that’s it as far as a “regular” routine goes.
I TRY to wash my face and use a moisturizer as close to every day as I remember, but I rarely think about it until I’m laying in bed at night, which is pretty much a guarantee that I wont do anything about it.
I love the Yes To Carrots products, and use their make-up removing/ facial clenser wipes because I can do it sitting right in bed, I just keep them on my night stand. Then I have the Clinique daily moisturizer because my skin is VERY picky, and this was the only one that didn’t make it super greasey.

I brush/floss first thing. Then hop in the shower. For days that I wash my hair (2-3 times a week), I use Neutrogena T-Gel for shampoo because I have pretty bad scalp psoriasis and Treseme for conditioner (makes my hair so soft!). I use a Neutrogena foaming facial cleanser to wash my face. When I get out of the shower, I use Olay complete moistrizer for sensitive skin with spf 15 for my face and eucerin lotion for sensitive skin with spf 15 for my neck, shoulders/chest, arms, and legs. Typically I blow dry and straighten my hair, unless it’s a special occasion, then I usually curl it. For makeup, I use monistat chafing gel as a makeup primer, then I use bare essentials for my foundation and NARS blush. That’s all I wear for everyday makeup. If I’m going out then I do eyeshadow, eye liner, and mascara too. From start to finish, I’m usually ready in about 50-60 minutes.

@PriceIsRight: I live by my routines, lol. Even my Fiance said the other night as I was getting ready for bed how I never miss doing it, no matter how late it is (or how intoxicated on a weekend night 😉 ).
I always floss and then brush. Then wash my face (love Aveeno), moisturize and remove eye make-up. Take out contact lens, take allergy medication. Then and only then can I relax enough to make it to bed.
In the morning is another routine – brush teeth, shower, get dressed, makeup, hair.
I rarely deviate from the order of my routine, although sometimes if I’m running late I’ll skip a makeup step or two.

Lately, my skin routine has been Clinique rinse off foaming cleanser (love it, because it removes makeup really well), St. Ives green tea scrub, Dickensen’s witch hazel (astringent), then VS sunless tanner on face & body. If my skin’s feeling extra dry, I’ll use Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing lotion after the sunless tanner cream dries.
My makeup routine changes all the time because I like to try different products & eyeshadow styles. I always finish off my makeup with a few spritzes of ELF Mist & Set. The bottle is kind of crappy, so I use a different spray bottle, but I love the stuff. Makes my makeup last all day & it also helps blend powder a bit so I don’t look cakey.

Face: I wake up, wash my face (Neutrogena Facial Cleansing Bar- the gold one, I use this at night too), moisturize (Aveeno Positively Radiant w/ SPF 15), brush teeth, then put on makeup (foundation, powder, blush, eye primer, eyeshadow, liner & mascara). If I shower that morning I exfoliate my face (Apricot Scrub Timeless Skin Renew & Firm) & body then put on body lotion (Body Drench).
Hair: I use Joico shampoo & conditioner most of the time, but once a week I use Redken Clarifying Cream Shampoo to get rid of build up. I also deep condition with Joico KPak once a week.

@les105: I’ve been hearing a lot about this Witch Hazel! I am going to get some of that! I love VS sunless tanner! What a great idea to wear it regularly.
I didn’t even know a makeup set spray existed! I love Clinique makeup.. I tried their foaming cleanser once but I don’t think it did enough for me. It is very gentle though, I liked that! I’ve never tried their moisturizer but I will need to. I used to use beauty control moisturizer but they discontinued it.

@Mrs. Chai: A lot of people have mentioned the positively radiant moisturizer – Is it pretty light? My face gets oily easily :/
Which eye primer do you use and does it work well?
Where do you get your exfoliator?

@Boston Bee: I’ve heard a lot about bare essentials! Do you like monistat as a primer?
