@Hazel1:  I personally like plain for daily, personally I would get plain and if financially it is possible get both for when you want more sparkle.

If the engagement ring is pave I match it with a plain band, and vice versa. I think the best looking sets are the ones that combine both.

I have a plain solitaire for my e-ring and I’ve heard to not go too dainty for a pavé band. Maybe at least 2mm. You can go a bit lower for a plain band but probably at least 1.8mm.

@Hazel1:  Your engagement ring is beautiful and looks lovely on your finger. I voted for a plain band, since you really want to stay the same mm width as your engagement ring.

But, I also think it would be so pretty to get an eternity band (diamond, moissanite, gemstone, whatever kind you love!) for an anniversary down the road and add to your set. Personally, I would do a slightly thicker eternity band, as you have plenty of finger room for all three.

Team plain band here but I do also like the idea of also having a pave band when you want to switch things up. I prefer the plain band because I like the contrast and think it doesn’t take away from the center stone.  My bands are slightly larger (1.9mm pave and 2.5mm plain) but here is mine for reference. I do have a single diamond in my band for when I wear it alone which is rare but it can only be seen by me when wearing both rings which I love.

@Hazel1:  I tried a plain band with mine and it didn’t have enough sparkle for me. Even though I LOVE rose gold (which my plain band is), I ended up getting one with sparkles πŸ™‚ I got a cz band from Etsy to try it out. You could always get the plain one and then get a cz band to see if you like the stack look. A silver cz band won’t be expensive so try it out to see if you like it before making the plunge πŸ™‚

@Hazel1:  Love moissanite! I feel you on the uniform mm as I have similar concerns. I’ve heard that choosing a different band width for the second ring can make the stack look better by adding texture! My e-ring will be 2mm but the band I have my eye on is 3mm. Not sure what we’ll end up with yet!
