Alright ladies, we’ve narrowed down our venues.
We are having our ceremony at this historical house, and the building in the back off to the right, will be our reception location.
The reception building itself isn’t all that great [see pictures below]. We’ll have pink uplighting & it’ll be candlelit, so hopefully that will help.
The building is 40ft wide by 60 feet long. We plan to have the dance floor smack in the middle like this :
Now here’s my problem. We wanted to decorate the dance floor, perhaps with lights and maybe a laser show, or a disco ball [BIG disco fans in our family, + fi wants it], but, the ceiling are MUCH too high to decorate.
Would it be strange if we used a 20×20 vista tent? Has anyone done this? Obviously we’d have to make sure we had enough ceiling clearance for this.
Haven’t decided where we are putting the cake yet, but we’re thinking it’s going to be in front of the dance floor.
Also, if you have any suggestions for my layout, please add!
