I’m getting married in 2 months, and I’ve dreamed of my first dance with my husband for… well for years and years.
So my fiance promised that he’d go to dance lessons with me as a Christmas present.
I was really excited back in December and then he just kept putting them off and now its April. I can tell he doesn’t want to learn to dance and I don’t know if I should push it.
What do you think? Should I hold him to the dance lesson promise or just let it slide?
What do your fiance’s think about dance lessons? Did you have to beg them to go with you?

If he doesn’t want to, I wouldn’t force him. I realize you say you’ve dreamed and dreamed of it, but I would venture to guess that you could transfer that feeling to the wedding as a whole, no? Let one detail slide. Honestly, it’s something cute to do if you are both into it. But if you have to force him to do it grudgingly, it completely loses its appeal to me. It cheapens the first dance to no more than a performance.

We didn’t do dance lessons, just did the high school shuffle lol. I didn’t really want to dance in front of a bunch of people either and we basically ran off the dance floor.
