to go off on a tangent….I really like the name “Bristol.”  I’ve never watched an episode of DWTS though, lol.

@Corykru: Jennifer Grey did have previous dancing experience, but she also hadn’t danced in quite a while. She also had a car accident, with Matthew Broderick and has a titanium plate in her neck to stabilize her compressed spinal cord.

Also, the girl Brandy hit had traces of drugs in her system, and a report stated that the girl had hit the car in front of her, slammed on her brakes and then Brandy hit her. I know from being in vehicles with people who are high, that not everyone can drive that well, and their reaction time is substanitally slower. I also know that sometimes you hit people when they slam on the brakes. It can’t always be helped.

It doesn’t matter if you have money or not, people have car accidents. My own father was killed in a car accident when a man got on the wrong side of the road. Is that man in jail? No.

BUT, I also don’t think Bristol Palin should still be on the show, regardless of who her mother is, the girl can’t dance for crap.

That palin chick should never have even been on the show. The show is called Dancing with the STARS, last time I checked she was not a star so i dont even know why they even put her on the show.

First off, I totally agree that Bristol Palin is a horrible dancer and should have been voted off the show a long time ago. Her mother is the only reason that she is still on the show.

Secondly, there is a huge difference between an accident and a murder. To not know the difference is ignorant…. almost as ignorant as Sarah Palin.

As I said, not going to fight over it, but I feel you should serve at least some jail time if you kill someone. It was at least involuntary manslaughter. You are supposed to be in control of your vehicle at all times. At least, that is what I have been told. You do not have to agree with me, but that is my belief. I do not feel she was given the same legal consequences that you or I would have incurred. That goes for all celebrities. They are given things that we will never see in our lifetime. And you are right, it should be about dancing. So, Bristol’s mother should be left out of the convo completely. It is not about her mother, it is about her. IDC how she got there. IDC if she is a great dancer. IDC when she goes home. IDC about any of it. I just get tired of hearing people complain about Bristol and her mother and that being how she got there or that is why she is still there. Personally, I don’t think she should have even been on the show in the first place, just as I don’t believe Brandy belongs there. Bristol is not a celebrity. Brandy is a has been who had a few hits. The show should be Dancing with wannabes and has beens. I haven’t seen anyone overly outstanding on the show.  Put Madonna on there, put Elton John. Put on someone who is a real celebrity. I may watch it then.

@Miss Beach: Or they’ve never looked at a dictionary.

Accident: an undesirable or unfortunate happening that occurs unintentionally and usually results in harm, injury, damage, or loss; casualty; mishap

Well, I’m glad Bristol has hung in there despite all of the hatefulness toward her.  She went in with zero dance or performing experience & has managed to stick with it.  Good for her.

@Miss Tattoo:  THANK YOU.. I was thinking the same thing.  Accidents happen.  People act like the girl loaded up a glock and took someone out the game on purpose.  Is she not supposed to continue to live her life because of a mistake?  Furthermore, if you don’t know the particulars of the case, I don’t think you should make negative comments about it.  Anyone can have an accident.

From my understanding of the accident, she did not notice that the cars in front of her had slowed down or stopped and rear-ended someone.  Hell, that happened to me in Florida last year.. no one was hurt, but the accident was my fault.  Am I a horrible person too?  Can I not go out and dance anymore?  LoL.  Who hasn’t been goin down the interstate at about 60 or 70, then went around a curve and all of the sudden traffic is at a standstill??  It happens.  I wish ignorant people would stop wanting to burn the girl at the stake over an accident.

@Miss Beach: Yes, I made a mistake in my post by calling her a murderer. It was involuntary manslaughter. So sorry. Thanks for enlightening me and calling me out on my “ignorance”. I didn’t realize making a mistake was grounds to insult someone on the board. Whatever happened to avoid being snarky? Also, thanks for the Sarah Palin comparison. Don’t care too much for the woman, but apparently I must be just like her for one inaccurate statement.

also, whatever happened to maintaining a safe distance between cars in the event that something so unfortunate were to happen? You need time and space to properly stop a vehicle.

@bells: I totally agree she should have never been there.

@SouthernGirl: I am so sorry to hear about your father :-(. I sincerely wish that person was in jail. I know nothing can bring back your father, but I will keep you in my thoughts.

@Corykru:  The law isn’t black and white you know. And I don’t want that man in jail. It’s not going to do anything for me. It’s not going to bring my dad back. He has to live with it everyday, and I feel that’s punishment enough. It was an accident. It was early morning, he was an older man, and he was in an unfamiliar place, he turned on the road and didn’t realize his mistake until it was too late. He doesn’t deserve to sit in jail for it.

@MsFoxxy: The same thing happened to me as well, twice actually. I didn’t notice the car that stopped in front of me… People make mistakes. We can’t always be perfect drivers.

If you all want to see talented dancers, you should be watching So You Think You Can Dance instead of Dancing With The “Stars”!

Just my two cents.. Laughing
