Aww that stinks! The way I look at things (well atleast try!) is that everything happens for a reason. Maybe there is going to be another opportunity come up for you!

Jobs are scarce all over the country.  You’re not a failure.  These are just tough times.

oh girlie 🙁 i know the feeling. when i was looking for jobs as a new grad a while back, i had 11 interviews and 10 rejections. 10! all in a row too – so i felt like a huge huge failure. and the 11th company said they were probably going to have a hiring freeze too.

you’re not a failure; theres just some people better suited for the position. not BETTER people, just different! dont give up!

@2ndtime:

I totally second that!  I lost a job-was unemployed for 14 months, got a job in Mid-March and I’m already laid-off because of lack of work. Hopefully they can hire me back soon!!!

My daughter applied for jobs as she is nearly done with her college degree, and all of her friends who graduated from high school are making more money than what she is being offered.  She is feeling pretty crappy today, because after making it through college (with two toddlers) she can’t even afford to take the jobs, because she’d only take home $100.00 a month and loose her food stamps of $400.00 a month!!!  Crazy!!  And She has the cheapest daycare she can find-$700.00 a month.  Jobs that she could have accepted a year ago are offering her $2.00 less per hour now.  (We are in Oregon too)

You have to keep applying. Don’t stop. Just keep moving forward! I bet Mr. Tattoo has sent his resume out over a thousand times over the last year and has only been on MAYBE 50 interviews. It sucks right now, but just keep trying.
