I feel you, girl. At my final fitting, I was whining about how I had a little roll of back fat and my alterations person goes, “Well, that’s just part of being a girl.” I don’t know whether she meant being a well-padded person or having a tendency to complain about my body. Either way, she wasn’t wrong.

If you only have a week left, and you know that there’s nothing else you can do, then just take a breath and let it go. And by the way, I agree with previous posters – I’ve seen the pictures of you in your dress and I can guaran-damn-tee you that your arms will be the last thing on anyone’s minds. Your figure does that gown a FAVOR! Everyone is going to ooh and ahh and tell you you’re beautiful. And you will be! The dress is beautiful. Your makeup and your hair will be beautiful. The joy on your face will be beautiful. I worried about my fatness a little while putting on my gown in front of all my hot, toned bridesmaids. After that, though? It literally never entered my mind. My wedding day was fantastic, and whether anyone thought my triceps were flabby wasn’t an issue AT ALL.

I’m not crazy about the way my arms look in some of my wedding photos. I don’t like that I look a little hunchbacky in some of the shots from behind. But I do like everything else about the way I look and, more importantly, so did my husband. It’s too late to change anything now. And your wedding is going to be spectacular, whether or not you managed to drop a few pounds. Enjoy it!

Just try to get a bit more exercise, eat healthily, cut back on salty stuff and if you’re really not happy buy a shrug! But honestly, you’ll look beautiful on the day because nothing makes a person look more beautiful than being a bride walking towards her groom and beaming with joy.
