Fiance and I have been trolling the internet looking for venues on the water – we came across this place. The website looks great but reviews are VERY mixed on Yelp, TripAdvisor etc. Anyone had or been to a wedding here and can tell me if they food is any good, if it’s too “wedding factory”-ish (they do 2 at a time), if it’s overpriced?

I’ve been there, and have a friend who almost got married there. Bottom line – overpriced. If you’re looking for somewhere on the water try the Nahant Oceanview. http://www.oceanviewofnahant.com/
My friend went with them instead. Much more reasonable. I photographed a wedding there in April, and will also do my friends wedding this October 2nd. The photographs they show on their website aren’t really that great. Let me know if you want to see what a “real wedding” looks like from the venue and I’m happy to give you a link to a whole wedding I photographed there! Good luck!

I have been to a couple wedding their and I have a friend who is getting married this upcoming year. They do amazing weddding and if I didn’t know so many people who had gotten married there I probably would have done it myself.
For a very similiar wedding my friend is paying $25k compared to the $40k I just spent for my reception in Southern New Husband. They give you one price and that includes tax and gratuity (no 27% added on). The chairs are included and some other small extras. I think it’s worth checking out.

I used to keep my boat at Danversport. If you’re considering it, I’d stop by during a wedding. Depending on where your ceremony is, it might not feel super private and you might feel like boaters are rolling coolers across the aisle. Also, the food in their restaurant is amazing, but in my experience, their catering food is just ok. It is a gorgeous spot and there’s plenty of parking which is good.
