I had dark purple and orange for my colors. Granted it was in September which isn’t exactly summer but I LOVED the way the colors contrasted!

My main color will be dark purple for my July 30 wedding!  I love it, and as far as bridesmaid dresses, I think this color will be more flattering on most people than lavendar would be.

Of course not!  It’s a beautiful color for a July wedding.

But I’m a little biased because my wedding was July of this year and one of our colors was a royal purple. 😉

I LOVE this color.  Love it so much in fact that I will be using it for my main wedding color as well – and I am a July bride too!  I think I am going to bring a bit of summer into it by adding pops of bright yellow into my flowers and centerpieces.

I really love your color scheme and I think it will work in July.  Summer is a time for vibrant colors and those are bright and sunny enough.  If your purple were darker or had more gray in it I would say it would be more suited for fall, but what you have works for summer.  From the two dresses you posted I think the second one is better for July because the fabric looks thinner and livelier, almost like a flower petal.  The first one is stiffer, which I would associate more with fall.

I think any color looks great any time of year, so I’m in the Maybe I’m confused boat 😀

I really love that first dress.  I think that color works!  Lots of flowers that color might still be blooming in July… I def. think it works.

I’m planning on doing something in the summer and think it’s a great color and a really cute dress!

Ive seen dark purple would really work if you give your ladies a bright flower like yellow sunflowers to hold…very pretty I think!

Im having a less-than-formal beach wedding and my colors are plum purple and a pale sage green accent. I think purple is great for a summer wedding 🙂
