@icetea:  Lol! Just make sure not to over-exfoliate. That salt and citric acid won’t feel very good on a scrape!

Fashion Fair makes a skin bleaching cream called Vantex. I am using it as well to clear my chin and neck where I am slightly darker. Its pricey ($30) at Macy’s but it works if you use it twice a day. Hope this helps!

@scqt13:  Ditto to waxing!  I stopped shaving (ugh) 2-3 weeks before the wedding and got waxed 2 days before.  The difference was very noticeable after just one time.

I use Go Sleeveless by Dove as well and I think I see lightening.

Dove has a deodorant that is semi-new (I think it came out last year) for this. I just bought it about 3 weeks ago so I’ll update results in the weeks to come. I’d assume with something like that, if it helps at all it will be over a really extended time period for dark skin. But I’ll keep at it.

I was hoping I wouldn’t have to stop shaving (too afraid to wax). Does anyone know of any good how-to videos on waxing the armpits?

Have you considered using an epilator?  Basically it’s a machine that tweezes your hairs for you.  It’s painful, but not worse than waxing, really.  Ok, I will be honest, the first time is awful, but then you can do it every couple of days, and it won’t be so bad, because you’ll get a lot fewer hairs.  It’s also quicker and less messy, and you don’t need to let your armpit hairs grow out the way you do when you’re waxing.

@bklynbridetobe:  Ah! I’m a DYIer (hair, nails, everything) but the last thing I want to do is rip my skin off my pits.
