Ugh. Billy Joel was in KC last weekend (4 hour drive) and I didn’t know it until today! He is DH’s absolute favorite and I want to get him tickets for his birthday (April 19) but looks like his tour ends March 11…..
Boo. Best birthday ever idea down the drain. Last time Billy Joel was in St. Louis, Darling Husband was deployed! He was soooo sad.
What bum news for a Friday!

Awww :/ that stinks. Just don’t mention it to him, then he won’t have THAT to compare to whatever gift you do give him lol.

Heh, same thing happened to me except with bon jovi. He was having a free concert in central park and i didnt find out until like the week before. All the free tickets were long gone by then! On another note, We Didnt Start the Fire was basically our class song in high school. It was pure awesome when a couple friends and I managed to get it played at prom (with the help of a teacher who had the cd in his car lol). So fun!

I know what you mean about Billy Joel being sneaky! He and Elton John were touring together last year and they are my mom’s favorite musicians. For her birthday last year, I bought us tickets. I found out about the concert the DAY BEFORE tickets went on sale. The only advertisment for it was on the radio, and I just so happened to hear it while I was walking through the back room at work. I’m not sure how everyone else at the concert knew about it (must have been part of a fan club or something?) but it seemed to me like he only lets certain people in on when he’s playing!
Oh Billy Joel! Quit your sneaking and for peet sakes, lower your ticket prices!

That concert made this city absolutely insane!! It was originally supposed to be in December and they reschedule. I hardly ever go downtown but my mom took me to an awards banquet for work. Traffic was insane!! I heard the concert was good though 🙂
