How!? How does one obtain a “booty” or become “bootylicious”!? I feel that this title eludes me. Im 5ft and 115lbs. Im pretty skinny, and ive been going to the gym for two weeks now, every other day, weight training and doing squats, but shouldnt i feel ‘sore’ around my bum region as if my muscles are getting toned and worked out? Or should I be putting on weight? But how to gain weight in the proper areas is my question.
Tell me your secrets!

@xSparr0w: There are machines targeted specifically for your glutes — the leg curl is great (I doubt thats what its actually called haha!) It’s the one where you lay on your stomach and lift from the knee, if that makes sense? There’s also one where you kneel and place your foot on a pedal of sorts and push up, which is actually called the Butt Blaster haha.

Squats and lunges, with weights. Hip lifts help too. Rinse, repeat. Also, you can’t gain weight in a target area. It takes much more time to build muscle; two weeks isn’t enough time at all.

@MissWitty: LOL!!!!!!!!! 🙂 you made my night! Thanks
Op, I have no idea how old you are but by mid thirties your ass starts to sag, trust me;)

@MissWitty: That made me lol. Also love how this thread has no related topics.
As for your actual question, I am naturally gifted in terms of booty, but a former professor* and I had a conversation about this, and she was a big fan of the Butt Bible workout. It appears to be on Youtube.
*Yes, we did have this conversation. She was hilarious and always brought up really random topics.

@Daisy_Mae: LOL. Mine, too. Mama gave me a little more than my little frame was meant to have!
OP, different things work for different people, and squats are usually tried and true. If you don’t feel you are achieving the desired results quickly enough, try various other weight training exercises and/or workouts. Some people get booty from running, zumba, cycling…or you can try lunges instead of squats. I KNOW that sounds ridiculous, but for some damn reason, whenever I do lunges, my butt gets bigger (which ISN’T good in the military). Try a multitude of things.
Also keep in mind that just because it doesn’t hurt or isn’t sore, doesn’t always mean it isn’t working 😉 Try squatting more weight if it’s too easy. Increase your reps….or do wall-sits! Those help for sure.
Good luck on your booty quest.

@xSparr0w: Make sure your form is correct 🙂 Do you feel a burn at all when you’re working out?

Yep, squats and lunges. I actually stopped doing so many because I didn’t like how high my ass was looking in jeans lol.

There’s a program Beachbody sells called Brazil Butt Lift that targets the booty from all directions to lift it.
Feel free to message me if you want some more info.
