I’m considering the same thing. My only advice is be sure that the cheaper sunday rate applys to holiday weekends.  A lot of places that we’ve looked holidays are actually more expensive – even on sundays.  We are still debating memorial day weekend or the weekend before.  I looked at historical weather temps yesterday for those weekends.  its typical around 70 degrees on memorial day weekend, so it shouldn’t be too cold. just pray that ohio doesn’t throw some rain at you!

I just got engaged a few weeks ago and my FH and I are thinking the same thing for next year! I want to know if that weekend would have traditional cheaper Sunday rates or not.  Anyone know?

Also on a holiday weekend you can have your rehearsal dinner on that Saturday and no one has to rush from work! Winner all around!

You’ll have to check with your venue to see if the lower rates for Sundays apply to holiday weekends. Each venue is different.

I grew up in Cleveland – Memorial Day should be fine warm wise – you may get rain, but warmth should be ok.

I say as long as the rates are the same for that Sunday wedding-Go for it!  Even if you have to enclose the pavillion it will still be beautiful!  Cleveland’s weather can be crazy!
