Hi, I really think you should make a doctors appointment. I had watery bleeding post-sex too and am now 12w5, so that’s no guarantee of a miscarriage at all. Slight cramps can be normal too.

For peace of mind, do try and see a doctor – you have no idea how far along you are so it may be that you are sadly experiencing a loss, or it may be that you are quite far along in your pregnancy in which case, bleeding needs to be checked ASAP.

I would call and say you could be up to XX weeks pregnant and have experienced bleeding and see if you can get an appointment.

Good luck and keep us updated xx

You should really call your midwife if you have not. Even if it was a chemical pregnancy you may need a rhogam shot if you are Rh-.

So sorry to hear this. With the tests that you had, you were definitely pregnant. It sounds like you had an early loss.

I know from these boards that women who suffer losses often get pregnant again very quickly so if you feel ready to try again, I hope you get your BFP quickly.

When you do, please make sure you mention this pregnancy to your doctor/midwife and don’t dismiss as dodgy pregnancy tests as you would just never get that many clear false positives.

Take care of yourself x

I am sorry, sounds like it was a chemical pregnancy. You were pregnant, but likely something went wrong at implantation and sadly the pregnancy couldn’t continue. They are very common, in fact most women will have at least one in their lives but might not always know about it. If you are not on the look out for being pregnant you could easily mistake it for a late period.

Chance are good for a sticky pregnancy next time so when you feel ready get back on it with hubby. You might want to wait for your next period though just so you don’t have the same confusion with dating.

Agree with pp, when you get pregnant next, do mention it to the midwife when you book in. It is really important for them to know that you have been pregnant before, even if it ended quickly.
