Have you tried Google Image Searching “david’s bridal lapis real weddings” to see what others have on the internet?

Also, it does photograph a little more on the blue side. If you wanted a brilliant purple then Plum might have suited you more, as sangria tends to show up more pink.

ETA: I should have clarified. The lapis looks purple indoors in normal lighting conditions, but can tend to have a blue tint in outdoor lighting and depending on the dye lot.

@loramirez831: I was in a wedding that we wore lapis in. I don’t have pictures on this computer, but they did NOT lookblue. Just a dark purple like in person.

My Mother-In-Law wore a DB dress in Lapis.  Here are a couple of our pictures where you can see the color of her dress.

I think it depends on the fabric. Fiance and I wore this color in our friends’ wedding. He had the matching satinish vest from MW, and I had one of the crepe dresses. They both looked purple in the professional pictures, but in low light settings with a point and shoot flash camera, the vest looked navy. I think the charmuse should look purple in photos. I like this color!

My bridesmaids wore Lapis from David’s. It looks the same in picutres as it does in person, but the dresses were jersey material. Don’t have any pics to post right now though.

I wore it for my prom!

Sorry it’s so cropped, all of the other pictures were so far away, I wanted a closer one. This is the dress in a satin fabric and the matching vest.

I think it really depends on the fabric. Haven’t heard anyone mention it has a blueish tint (and I don’t really like the eggplant that they offer – it’s a reddish purple and wasn’t my style)….my ‘maids have chiffon lapis dresses and it doesn’t look blueish in the pictures that I’ve taken. I think it might be the satin but I don’t think you have anything to worry about!
