Would anyone be able to review the drawing of the ring David Klass may make for me? Hard to imagine when its a CAD drawing! He is modeling it off these other rings pictured.
The outside is 14k rose, and inside is 14k white.
What is the little purple semi circle at the bottom? And I don’t really know about the prongs sticking up…? Do you know why he’s drawn the prongs up like that? Does he just fold them over then? Is there a way to ask for the prongs to be a little bit smaller or less visible? If they are folded over, they look like they’ll be quite big and cover a big portion of the diamond…
Any other thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!!!! Thank you so much to everyone on these boards!!!

So pretty!! What size diamond are you going to go with?

The main diamond is just over 1 karat!

The prongs are sticking up in the CAD because it is a CAD. The ring is cast, and prongs are bent, shaped, polished, etc. They always look long in a CAD. They won’t “cover the diamond” in the end; DK knows what he is doing.
The circle is also just a CAD/cast thing. It won’t be there in the final product. The ring won’t emerge from the cast complete. He needs to polish it, engrave it if needs, set stones…things like that are there so he can work with the ring, but are polished off for final product.

I have no comments on the CAD, but it looks just like a Verragio setting. Very pretty!

The extra bits are for him to hold on to with his tools while he shapes and files it!

Have no thoughts on the CAD, but seriously gorgeous ring!
