Does anyone have David Klass’s email that’s confirmed for responses?
Is the one on his facebook correct? I want to try to contact him to see about potentially restoring a heirloom ring. I tried inittially contacting him for having my ering made and never got a response so we went with someone else. Though, I really want to try to get in contact with him since he is regarded so highly.
Thanks for the help!

soymilk: I used the email address from Facebook. I tried to contact him 3-4 times and never received a response.
I remember seeing a post that this pretty normal for him.
I would say, find someone local. You don’t need to hound someone to take your money.

AwkwardCoconut: Lol, thanks. That’s how I felt but I thought maybe I just didn’t have the correct email. The facebook was the one I tried too. 🙂

Yep, I never had any luck with him.
Others adore him and think he is worth persevering with the lack of customer service. Only you can decide if you want to give your money to him. I wouldn’t, not when there are people like Schubachs, Amcor etc who know how to do it right 🙂

I’ve emailed him at [email protected] and have gotten responses. The response always seems to take several weeks.

soymilk: Try looking up his number and calling. I have found it online before and done that when I wasn’t hearing back to my email request. It seems as though he is extremely busy, however, the quality and craftsmanship of his products is incredible.
Yes, you can find someone local to do the job, but the quality may not at the same level as a piece from Klass. For example, I had DK do a ring for me and it is absolutely exquisite. Everything from the milgrain to the claw prongs is perfectly executed even when looking through a loupe.
I had my local jeweler do my bezel set earrings with milgrain around the edges & when you look closely, the milgrain is slightly uneven and just doesn’t match the quality of the piece I got from DK. Do the earring still look nice? Yes, of course; they are beautiful. BUT, they are not as perfect as the ring is.
TL,DR–> If I had a project I really wanted to be perfect, I would keep trying to get in touch with Klass rather than my local jeweler because not all jewelers are equally talented.
Good luck with whatever you choose to do! 🙂

MrsSparkleBee13: I tried his gmail last time. I’ll give the aol a shot. I’m in no rush. I just wanted to mainly get an idea of how difficult or easy it will be and if all the materials can be kept. It means a lot to make sure it is taken care of well.
Thanks everyone for the help! I appreciate it. 🙂
