Hello ladies!
Based on my other thread, I thought I would just create a new space for everyone on the David Klass boat or already has been on the David Klass boat. This is meant to be a forum where everyone is welcome, the more pictures the better, and for bees everywhere to show off their bling/talk about their bling, help each other out and just have fun with it!
Love,
Rachael!

I’ll share!! My hubby and I are having a new ring made for our 10-year wedding anniversary. We decided on a two-stone design we both loved. It symbolizes how we have stood together throughout everything! I just got in my first set of CADs yesterday. I am asking for a few tweeks, but the ring is wonderful! Here are my CADs for our new ring.

My RHR was designed by David Klass! I’m not the ring’s original owner though

Rachael Daniel : Replying for the other thread! π I’m just as excited about your ring as I am about mine. It’s so much fun to have a friend to wait with! Lol
I’ll post my last CAD and details for any that are interested. I’ve been talking with David since February 3rd. We’re not ready to purchase just yet but David has been tweaking the design so it’ll be ready when we are. I’ve been waffling back and forth between a princess or cushion center. I had decided on a princess moissy but it proved to be incredibly hard to find a princess cut that I really liked for a decent price so DH and I decided on a 6.5mm cushion Forever One near colorless moissy. We should be ordering it fairly soon. The trillion side stones are going to be London blue topaz for my daughter’s birthstone, which I already have. The princess bezel surprise stones under the head (on the profile) are going to be mine and DH’s birthstones (one on each side.) David’s going to see about changing those to trillions instead of the princess so they’ll match the top of the ring. It all depends on what he can get with the colors that I requested. There will also be milgrain and hand engraving around the shank and on the profiles of the shank. There’s a rose on each side of the trillions that will actually be slightly raised in rose gold. This is probably going to be my favorite part of the ring! πΉI just emailed him back to ask about changing the shank to a slight Euro-shank to balance out the heaviness. Starting over a month ago, I emailed several jewelers about my design idea and several seemed to have trouble with my concept, even though it wasn’t originally that complicated. DK just got it and has been amazing through this whole process! I’ve made several changes and tweaks and he always understands and gives great advice. I can’t recommend him enough to everyone!

These are my trillion 5mm London blue topazes! They photograph very sapphire-like, probably because I had to use a flash, but IRL, they look more aqua greenish blue. I purchased them from Africa Gems last month.

jasc8790 : Ahhh! I am seeing your trillions for the first time and they are gorgeous I love them! Yes, I am so happy I have a friend to wait with π I am not sure if you read this on the other thread but, I might have to find a back-up ring/scale down on the design a bit because my SO is getting a bit stressed out with everything money-wise! I don’t like solitaires however π I’ve browsed through so many pictures trying to like them but…they just don’t fit my personality at all! π Do you have any suggestions?
Also, the rose is going to be my favourite part of your ring too!!!! Gaahhh! Beautiful! π I’m just gonna stand on my head for the whole year hehehe. I am so glad to wait with someone π

Rachael Daniel : Oh thank you! I forgot I didn’t post pics of the trillions on the last thread. I love them! π I totally understand about the whole budget of the ring. It can be quite scary! I think if you were to ask DK what you can do to cut down on the price a bit he would be very helpful. I think if you were to go with pavé on just 1/2 of the shank instead of 3/4, it should make a difference in price and you shouldn’t even be able to tell because your fingers will be covering the plain part of the shank anyways. Not to mention, it will be more comfortable for you, because I have heard that 3/4 and full eternity pavé can rub on the sides of your pinky and middle finger. The ring I tried on and posted yesterday had a 1/2 pavé shank and from the top it didn’t look any different from a 3/4 eternity. See if that will make any difference and if it’s not enough, maybe nix the pavé on either the V-shaped basket or the cathedral part. I’m sure there’s a way for you to still have a pavé shank and a double edge halo since I know those 2 details are very important to you!

jasc8790 : You are a lady after my own heart because you know what matters to me π I just shot an email over to DK asking him how much it would cost if I went down to 1/2 eternity and not have the diamonds on the “n” part under the gallery. Hopefully its a bit better! Will it still be blingy without the “n” part in diamonds you think?
They are stunning!!!!! I have not seen gems like that and I LOVE them hahaha! How old is your little girl btw? π

jasc8790 : that’s a really cool ring! I love the raised roses. What colour is the rest of the ring? I’m guessing white gold so the roses really stand out?
Cant wait to see the final ring!

Rachael Daniel : I think it’ll still be gorgeous and blingy with those changes. It’s not a huge change in terms of aesthetics but should make a difference in price! My baby girl just turned 5 in December. She’s a total princess/girly girl and she’s gorgeous, super smart and funny as hell. She’s a total character and keeps me very entertained! Lol let me know what David says!!!
