I purchased mine yesterday! Deposit is paid, now we wait ;o) I went with the David Tutera MacClare. It was a surprise but I simply fell in love. Based on the picture of the dress I was not all that into it. I tried it because I was looking for different mermaid dresses.

After trying a few Allure dresses I went back to the MacClare and that was it. It’s the only dress that made me feel bridal and sexy at the same time.

CarolineLefe:  I absolutely love this dress. Does this dress have a built in corset or anything that pulls you in? Also if you dont mind me asking what is the price range on this dress…? I want to get an idea on how much David Tuteras’ dresses run! You look stunning girl!

sarah1616:  Thanks for the compliment.

From what I remember, I’m pretty sure the shop consultant attached something inside the dress before she zipped up the back. I think there is someting built in, but can’t remember for sure. In the picture, I’m wearing the sample which is a size 6. It was a bit too snug for me and did not zip all the way back (missing about two inches.) So the sample really did pull me in. I assume that my size 8, once adjusted and altered will do the same.

The dress was $1,348 CAD ($1,524 with taxes.) Keep in mind that I purchased it in Ontario, Canada in a very small town (it’s basically the bridal shop at a four way stop in the middle of nowhere.) I think that in a city center it would have been a bit more. My budget was 2K and this was actually the cheapest dress I tried on. It was just perfect and I fell in love. Can’t wait to get it in July!

Also, I found the dress very light for a lace dress. It was not heavy at all and I could imagine myself spending the day in it. Also, for a mermaid, it was easy to move in. It was snug when I sat down, but not uncomfortable. It was also very easy to walk in it.

In the pictures, I do have a hoop thing under the dress and it’s not the belt that comes with the dress.

Me in the Meadow style number 115236

I did not end up buying this dress. It was too uncomfortable. The cap sleeves limited my arm movement a lot.
