Has anyone here purchased their dress from David’s Bridal and needed to do more than one alterations fitting? I’m just curious how it works- I picked up my dress after trying on from alterations at David’s Bridal a couple of weeks ago, and discovered that it doesn’t fit right- they didn’t hem it right and it’s now dragging and I’m tripping over it! I will need to take it back for another alterations fitting, but I’m wondering if they will charge me again? The alterations for the hem line is especially expensive- I prefer not to have to pay it a second time!!

Did you sign something saying you were happy with the alterations? If so, yes, you will more than likely have to pay again unless they feel like being nice and doing it for free. Didn’t you notice it wasn’t right when you tried it on?

My friend had to have two alterations appointments. They put in like 13 bustles and when she tried it on there the seamstress had forgot to sew like two of them so one side was all limp. She didn’t have to pay again but she also never took it home until it was right.

I took mine in last week for alterations at my local David’s bridal and the way I understood it is that if you take the dress with you after trying it on at that second alterations appointment you are basically agreeing that everything is how you want it. So once it leaves the store they are no longer responsible so I have a feeling if you take it back they will charge you for alterations again! You can contact the alterations manager though and explain and hope they are understanding!
