@unhappy604:  I have no idea which of the gazillion DB’s you had this problem with… but yeah.  Us too.  I live in a different state than where we are getting married, but we bought the dress and were having it altered in my home state where the wedding is.  On two separate occasions they tried to reschedule appointments out from under us in alterations.  On the day that we booked those appointments, the times were totally fine, and then for both on them, someone called us to try to reschedule (once about a week before the appointment and the second time 3 days before)… and I’m like, “Is there something you don’t understand about COMING IN FROM OUT OF TOWN???”  Even if I wasn’t this is still ridiculous.  Is it this hard to schedule an appointment and keep it?

That wasn’t the only thing they messed up on either.  The only thing I will say is that I do love my dress.  They do have some beautiful things there at reasonable prices.  Some of their stuff is cheap looking, but the higher end (of their price range) dresses are quite nice.

Why would you take the dress there for alterations after having so many problems??

I didn’t end up purchasing a gown from DB, but they were the first place I ried on gowns. The experience was so so, def not the experience that I had at the other salons I went too, maybe half as good.

Sorry about the hassel for you guys though that stinks…yeah I’d look for alterations elsewhere if I could.

Davids bridal is the pits. I don’t know how they are still in business.

@ashleyr0512:  totally agree! I have dealt with 2: one in Seattle and another one here in NJ. BOTH sucked! I refused to get ANYTHING from there for my own wedding!

@gelaine22:  Same thing here. I originally booked an appointment in Raleigh, NC. It was my first time going dress shopping and i was expecting an experience like you see on TV. After we waited 2 hours to be seen i walked out. I got an appointment at the Davids Bridal in chesapeake VA. The service was a little better the day of but they screwed up and ordered the wrong size in my dress and then ordered my bridesmaids dresses in the wrong color and dress!!!

I hate David’s Bridal.  I went in there one time to look around before I was dress shopping, and I’m pretty sure they sold my information to everyone and their mother.

David’s Bridal is absolutely horrible! I went in there right when they opened and they only had one other customer who was only looking. The lady who takes appointments and greets you was EXTREMELY rude and refused to help me. She gave me a snotty look and looked me up and down. Then she asked if I had an appointment, which I replied no I didn’t schedule one. She said that I would have to make an appointment and come back at another time. Seriously? I drove almost two hours to visit that particular store in Evansville, Indiana and none of your staff are actually doing anything! So, I walked around their store to just see what they had in stock, which none of it really impressed me, and none of the consultants asked if they could help, they either ignored me, or just looked at me and walked off. Rude! If anyone is in that area, go see Ella Park Bridal in Newburgh Indiana! Please tell them I sent you. They are the BEST. Their gowns are gorgeous, extremely well-made, and priced well. Plus, the staff is actually kind and intelligent. I would NOT reccoment Bridal Warehouse either! Horrible experience! They don’t care what YOU want, they pick out dresses that THEY like, don’t listen, and most of the dresses are overpriced and cheaply made.

I recently went with my bridesmaids to the new DB in Edmonton, and, like many, didn’t have a good experience!

We went on a Saturday (we were warned that it would be psychotic, only day that would work!), and our consultant was not helpful at all! Didn’t have any suggestions for us whatsoever … It was just “Ugh.”
