My bridesmaids chose a dress from David’s Bridal. We have plenty of time but I was wondering if online ordering is better, specifically in terms of: the sizes/color not getting messed up; faster delivery; easier payment.
It would be ideal if I could place all the dresses on one order and then have them each shipped to different stores around the state for the girls to pick up. However, since everyone except my maid of honor lives in Ohio, it would also be easy for me to plan a road trip and drop the dresses off at everyone’s house individually.
As far as the payment part — if we order online, I assume I’d have to put everything on my credit card and then have the girls pay me back ASAP? I wish I could pay for their dresses and this kind of seems tacky to ask of them to pay me by a certain date — but they do expect to pay for the dresses already. I just think I’d need to pay my credit card bill before the dresses are delivered to the stores…

We visited a David’s Bridal in our city and the customer service was brutal! What you see online is what you get in the store. If it’s easier and less stressful for you to order online just get the girls to send you their measurements and inform them in advance the price of the dress and the date you will need the money by then have the dresses shipped to their homes. It saves everyone including you time and the hassle of trying to organize a dress shopping trip.

I went to the store with my girls, and am glad. Everyone got a size smaller than they thought. I would go to the store to at least try them on. If your salesperson sucks, order them online. If not, order them there, and they can be shipped to everyone’s homes for the same cost as ordering online. In store, at least you get to try them on and someone gets commission. Should be the same price either way.

I personally always feel safer when I do everything in person and watch the staff write down everything to make sure it’s alright. I would say it’s totally up to you.
