The dress looks great on you. But yes, Davids bridal has the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. I hate them. I hate everything about them.

I also got my dress & Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses at David’s bridal. But I had a relatively good experience at the second store I went to. The first one was a nightmare similar to these stories (rude consultant, didn’t pull the dresses I wanted, left me standing waiting in ugly dress while she helped random girl, too much pressure to buy a dress that day even though I told her it was my first time ever trying on dresses then she got even more rude when I said I wasn’tpurchasing).  But the second store was a totally different experience. And you look lovely in the dress. It almost looks like the dress I chose

@Weetzie:  sorry this happened! But it doesn’t just happen at places like DB. I went to a high end local bridal salon here in NY. Found my dream dress, Casablanca 2033. It was custom ordered and supposed to be in after 5 months. I ordered in January and was told in May it would be in any day, early..anyway, in late JULY, over six months later and a month late, I got the call my dress was in and to come for my fitting. An hour before my fitting I got another call–they opened the box and IN IT WAS THE WRONG DRESS. Casablanca  style 2030.

I was soooooo upset and the custom dress wasn’t even remotely close to mine and less than 30 days out I was back to square one.

Here is the whole story if you want to read it.

Be glad you had time to it resolve it and were on top of matters! I was neurotic about being on top of my dress, called monthly and when I went in with my girls for their bridesmaids dresses i even double checked that they ordered the right style number. In my case there was nothing we could have done, it was truly a rare case of the manufacturer making a mistake.

@Weetzie:  Is your dress a Galina WG3512?

I’m tall as well as is my sister and the same thing happened with her dress:  When it arrived, the skirt was so short she had to wear ballet flats with it at the wedding (wasn’t David’s Bridal). It just burns me up that the industry thinks that only little dainty short women can catch a husband (I guess it used to be worse…my 6′ mother had to make her dress in 1962).

I’d write a letter to corporate, detailing the sequence of events in an unambiguous way and request a response in a given timeframe.  If you get a hollow response, go to town on Yelp, Wedding Wire, etc. and tell brides over 5’7″ to BEWARE!
