These are mine from DB, it took about 2 weeks even though we were told 6-8 weeks when my Bridesmaid or Best Man ordered theirs.

They are in the darker blue.  My JR Bridesmaid or Best Man is 13

I ordered mine from DB, as well. My advice: do not go to DB if you are expecting a perfect, “take care of me,” shopping experience, or super-high-quality materials. None f that mattered to me, and myself and my bridesmaids all ended up with lovely dresses that looked great on the wedding day and in the photos.

Their selection was pretty good, and they have dresses in a variety of sizes. They’ve got a good selection of dresses for both bridesmaids and juniors. We also waited about 6-8 weeks to get ours in. As with anything else, ordering early is good- that way you have time to get alterations and correct any ordering mistakes (if needed).

My bridesmaids dresses are through DB. My wedding gown shopping experience was awful, but when I went during a “not busy” time with one of my BMs they were great.

I think the timing (from order to receipt of the dress) really depends on the size, if you are getting extra length, the style, color, etc. One of my girls got hers in about 3.5 weeks and another has been waiting 6 and still hasn’t heard anything. Davids Bridal quotes you about 8 weeks.

TRIPLE check the size they are ordering. I’m a 2 and they ordered me a 22 and then told me they could just take it in. Um hello.

My Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses are from David’s and I thought the whole experience was fine.  We went on a Saturday, which is of course a busier day but had no issues.  For the most part, they let us do our own thing, gave us our fitting rooms and we picked what we wanted to try on.  Every so often, our consultant would come back to see if we needed anything else.   We didn’t need a super attentive consultant so it was fine.    We ordered the following dress in marine (navy).

I’ve also ordered several dresses from DB when I’ve been a bridesmaid and never had an issue.  They say it takes 6 – 10 weeks and my BMs have averaged about six weeks for their dresses to come in.

They also told us 6-8 weeks.  My 4 bridesmaids live in 3 different states so the timing was different for each….but all of them received their dresses within 3 weeks.  I know a lot of brides “trash” davids bridal for not being an upscale dress store….but I had a great experience as did all of my bridesmaids.  I was very well taken care of and very much felt like I was the only bride in there, the lady that helped me was very patient and very helpful, so not ALL DBs are “bad”.  I love my DB and will continue to order dresses there.  As for the quality of dress…I’ve looked at several upscale boutiques and could not tell the difference in any quality.  The only difference in DB and the high end boutiques that I noticed is that the women working in the high end stores seemed to have sticks up their a$$es and  DB prices were better.  Hope this helps.

@SoontobeMrsA:  Wow, just “take it in”???   What are they going to do?  Cut off a quarter of the dress and sew it together to make your dress!?   That’s actually so ridiculous I’m laughing about it – hope it all gets sorted though!
