thelibrarylady:  Although this is upsetting at this time, it’s not a tragedy. Even in this age of computerized order- taking and stock record-keeping, mistakes happen.

As you have other things ordered and would be driving across the border anyhow to pick up those packages, it’s not even a wasted trip for you. Just accept the package and mail it back to David’s Bridal the same day.

Normally these shipping places only charge a couple of bucks per item or an annual fee, so financially you should be ok.

If you want to try to get something out of David’s Bridal for your inconvenience, be nice and ask what they can do for you to make it right.

Are there other ways to find the third dress? The preowned wedding or once wed site? eBay? What about a larger size? I feel like there may still be hope on having 3 matching maids.

Can they send you something identical in the same color?

thelibrarylady:  That sucks. Sorry. I agree that they shouldn’t have shipped them to you without confirming first, considering they did notice that you were most likely ordering them for your bridesmaids. They should have to pay the shipping. Sounds like it was a dick move on their part. I hope it works out for you.

Irritating for sure, but a catastrophe? Please.

Unfortunately, David’s Bridal return process is very lenthy & annoying. you cannot ship back the same day, you have to get a return number & wait for that whole deal, you pay to ship it back, & then you wait like 2 weeks to hear if its processed & “approved”, & then another week or so for them to refund the money. I’d find a way to make it work.

Sorry that you’re dealing with this bee. :/ I was recently in a wedding where the dress that I wanted wasn’t online but I could drive to the store and order it there. I kind of feel like there is a gap somewhere between their stock and what’s on their website. Anyway, I hope that you get it all figured out. Keep us updated!

Can you buy another one in a bigger size and have it altered for your BM?

Davids bridal is the worst, went in there with my matron of honor, we stood at the front and waited for almost 10 minutes for the girl to come meet us (she never did) When she finally came to us she spoke to me like I was a 4 year old and then left us for the entire night. People thought I worked there because I had those clips on my sweater because I had to clip the gowns to my Maid/Matron of Honor. I even had to go to the front to ask for the clips and the girl who gave them to me Never even questioned why I would need them,

worst service.

thelibrarylady:  agh so annoying, but sometimes they ship as items are ready they might not have known

I would see if they can pay for shipping, if they don’t agree to at least do that I would take my business elsewhere.
