I doubt it. They have a very very strict return policy. I had to beg them to let me EXCHANGE BM’s dresses even though THEY made the initial mistake. Hopefully you can sell it or alter it in a way that makes you like it better.

I went through the same situation.  They won’t let you return the dress, but you can exchange it, so I turned in my wedding dress in exchange for all of my bridesmaid dresses.  Just an idea of something you can do.  Also, you could exchange it for accessories (veil, bra, shoes, jewelry, clutches for all your BMs…)

I agree that you are probably out of luck.

My friend bought her dress there and they assured her it could be altered to her size.  After many alterations it still wasn’t working so 2 weeks before the wedding, while in tears they let her exchange the dress for another one from the store.

My dress had a few small issues with it when it arrived and I was considering backing out of the dress.  They added to my account that I had 30 days to exchange it.  They would not let me return it.

I actully had really good luck exchanging my dress. I had not yet taken it home which is prob why. I was picking up my dress and the store manager was helping me when she unzipped the bag it was not what i was expecting. I was VERY nice and explained that thats not what I wanted I have a dress at home already with silver beading (I wanted gold) We went all thru the store and she ended up letting me get my #2 dress

I’ve had pretty good luck with David’s but I also dealt directly with the manager which I think alleviated a lot of the go between.  I ordered my dress in white (only having seen it in ivory as that’s all they had in the store); however, when it came in, I decided that I actually preferred the ivory.  DB had absolutely no problem with taking the white one back and re-ordering it in ivory for me.

Granted, I wasn’t asking for any money back, only for the dress in a different color, but I found them very helpful and accommodating…. hopefully you have a similar experience!

I had to chew them out to exchange a Bridesmaid or Best Man dress they made a mistake on, and when I bought a second dress I loved more, they also refused to let me exhange the other for store credit. Both times I delt with the manager.

I’m in the same boat too. I got engaged in 09 and bought a dress because it fit like a glove. Fast foward we changed the date to 2011 and it doesn’t fit so looks like I’ll be exchanging the dress, veil, blusher and slip for a bridesmaid dress. Sigh…..
