I love Melissa Sweet, wish they would have picked her up before my wedding, dangit.  She is such a classic designer.

After I saw your post on another thread, I totally Google-stalked Melissa Sweet and David’s Bridal. Some of the teaser pics are driving me CRAZY!!! They’re just so gorgeous I HAVE to see the full-length front-shots!

Those dresses are beautiful!  Are you going to go try them on? 😉

YAY! I am so glad David’s Bridal is finally doing something with the Priscila of Boston buy-out. I’m still pissed that they went out of business before I got engaged! I wanted The Lindsey so badly.

I might actually go check out these dresses this weekend. The teaser video is gorgeous!

Those dresses are really nice, I am happy that budget brides like me are getting more options! They also have a way better model than that child bride they have modeling the VW stuff!! This dress is really pretty, and the hair accessories are great (like the orchid hairpiece she is wearing in one of the other pics)!

I think DB missed the mark on marketing.  Just like the VW white line they priced it rather high for their store.  While brides with a ~1k budget can seek out other designers (casablanca, mori lee, maggie),

The gowns themselves are quite pretty and romantic.

I really, really hope this is more like Vers Wang’s move (maintaining the better brand external to DB) than like the other DB “lines.”

I assumed Melissa would go back to Atlanta and build her brand again, maybe reopening her store.  I hope she still does that.

They look pretty, but… it looks like none of the Melissa Sweet dresses are made in a size higher than 14.  That’s disappointing!
